A Multigenerational Family Tradition at the Top of the Mark and Pier 39 in San Francisco
Every year in January, three generations (formerly two) gather for a birthday brunch at the Top of the Mark and then head down to Pier 39 to see the sea lions, ride the carousel and visit the fairy store. It is a lovely, lovely tradition, and I have been so fortunate to have been included on more than a few of these special occasions. I have so enjoyed telling parts of these stories in images, particularly over the past few years as I've become a more articulate 'storyteller'. Here are a few of my favorites from this year––I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
For those who are interested, this entire lifestyle session was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and 50mm 1.8 lens, and edited in Lightroom 3.
